The resort
Phi Phi Holiday Resort
Phi Phi Holiday Resort sits on Laem Tong Beach at the northeast end of Phi Phi Don, in Krabi province. The beach is a strip of soft white sand lined with palms, facing the Andaman Sea. The resort was formerly known as Holiday Inn Resort Phi Phi Island, and booking sites still use that name in their links.
The resort is split into three separate wings. Guests choose between Thai style bungalows set among garden foliage, modern studios on the Coral side and on the hilltop, beachfront rooms facing the sunrise, and pool villas with private pools. In total the official site lists 16 room types.
There are four outdoor pools. The main pool lies next to the lobby and the kids club, the Coral Wing has its own infinity pool, the Sunset Infinity Pool sits on the sunset side of the hill, and a shallow free form kids pool faces the kids club.
Three restaurants and three bars serve Thai, seafood and international food. Jimmy Cafe and Monkey Bar are on the sand, Tai Rom Prao has Thai decor and an open air terrace, and the hilltop Sunset Restaurant and Sunset Bar look west over the sea for the evening light.
Laem Tong is reached only by boat. The resort is aimed at couples and families who want a quiet stay away from Tonsai village, with a kids club, a spa, a small gym, a diving centre and non motorised water sports on site.

- Getting there
- From Phuket or Krabi by shuttle speedboat or private speedboat, arranged with the resort.
- Shuttle speedboat takes about 1 hour from Phuket and about 1 hour from Krabi. Public ferries take about 3 hours from Phuket and about 2 hours from Krabi.
- From Tonsai Pier on Phi Phi Don, guests continue by taxi longtail boat to the resort.
- Speedboat shuttles also run from Ao Po Grand Marina in Phuket at scheduled times, booked in advance.
